Callaway Tour i(s) Golf Balls
Product Overview
It’s no secret that the new groove rules instituted by the USGA are designed to reduce spin off wedges and short irons, placing more of a premium on shot-making. The new Tour i(s) leverages 2nd Generation Dual Core inertia technology, making it easier for golfers of all abilities to generate maximum short-game spin. The softest Callaway tour ball ever features refined HEX Aerodynamics for a stronger ball flight and more distance by reducing drag and promoting efficient ball flight in all wind conditions.
- Maximum Greenside Spin and Control: The Hyper-Urethane™ cover improves spin off wedges and shorter clubs. Maximum spin around the greens allows for total control with Tour-level distance.
- Soft Feel, Better Durability: The 2nd Generation Dual Core construction has a lower compression, creating a ball that feels and plays softer than any other tour-caliber ball Callaway has ever designed.
- Longer Distance and Greater Accuracy: A new, refined HEX Aerodynamics with six Sub-HEX geometries increases distance by reducing drag and cutting through the wind with a stronger, more penetrating ball flight.
- Also available in High Player Number.

Very similar to ProV1, but with a touch less spin off the driver and long irons. Very responsive around greens and solid feel off the putter.

Comments about Callaway Golf Callaway Tour i(s) Golf Balls:
I switched to the Callaway Tour I(s) ball this summer and I'm enjoying my wedge game more than ever. I have new found accuracy with this ball which I am very excited about. Because of being able to utilize the spin to my advantage, and knowing that I can count on where the ball will stop or stay, I find that I am putting for birdie now where I would normally have been putting for par. This is a great ball, thanks Callaway for making my game more enjoyable with the Tour I(s) ball.

Comments about Callaway Golf Callaway Tour i(s) Golf Balls:
I am a 22hcp and purchased a box of these balls one month ago. This ball has a soft feel, holds the green and added 20 yards to my drives.Cover is less durable than prior brands used, but ball is far superior. I,a 22 hcp'er, am now able to hit approach shots to the green with reasonable precision and hold the green(other brands rolled through the green). This is a Tour ball that is hitable and a benefit to even a high hcp'er.

I just purchased my first dozen two weeks ago. I think this ball is great. It flies very well, feels firm to hit with the driver, but has great feel around the greens and spins very well. I would choose this ball over any other I have played.

Comments about Callaway Golf Callaway Tour i(s) Golf Balls:
I have been playing the Tour IX ball for the past 18 months and loved the ball until I tried the new Tour I(s). This ball has all the great qualities of the old IX, plus++++ great feel around the greens like the old Tour I ball. My drives have been the same or 5 yards longer as well. Try this ball and you will not go back to the IX.

Q:
What is the biggest difference in the i(s) and i(z) ball? Is one better for a player based on his swing speed?Asked on 2/4/2010 by Anonymous2 answers
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
The Tour i(s) will be softer and spin more, and the Tour i(z) is a little bit firmer and will be longer in distance.Answered on 2/4/2010 by Ryan Corl from 1-800-200-4726A:
A firmer ball does not always equal more distance. If you have a slower swing speed you won't properly compress a high compression ball to get the distance you're looking for. I would have to say the i(s) is a better ball for someone with a slower swing speed that plays a predominantly straight golf shot. They pack plenty of spin, and are easy to compress giving you good soft feel off your irons and crazy spin off your wedges. The i(z) doesn't pack as much spin but is a longer ball for people who have fast swing speeds. I'm no golf pro but if you don't hit the ball 280+, go with the i(s), your short game will thank you.Answered on 5/3/2010 by Southern Long Draw from Ashland, KY
